HONG KONG 香港

HONG KONG 香港 -

Although it was a short and sweet trip to Hong Kong , it was definitely a period of time that has left a long lasting impression on me. The time i spent weaving my way through the many busy streets and many busy people certainly  was a refreshing culture shock, one that i haven’t had the pleasure of receiving in a fair amount of time. I spent a few days on my own at the end of the trip and found myself days between a conversation,  this definitely caught me off guard especially being in such a hustle/bustle environment. The city is intense and everyone seems to be on their own little mission.

The contrast between wealth and poverty was something that really grabbed me & the overpopulation issue which appears to be still prevalent.

The people that i was lucky enough to meet and the people i have met through my camera have definitely left me fond of the place, like it or not the place although confronting and intensely impacting is in its own way a place of beauty and has its own sense of calm and this is represented within the people that inhabit it.

The city and the people who live here carry a lot of pre conceived westernised stereotypes which i honestly believe are driven by our own insecurity’s

Thanks Hong Kong for making me realise again that there is more then what is just at my front doorstep. Till next time

BUZZ & BLOOD

BUZZ - BLOOD

Natural beauty comes in many ways and when you can combine that with some pretty crazy creative minds you can have some very organic. raw and original outcomes. Anyone that can pull a thought, idea or concept from the depths of there inner creative side and portray it by whatever means is granted with infinite possibilities. This collection is a tribute to the collaboration of creative minds, and is another reminder to myself why i love to do this . Take note people get fucking wild with ideas and creation and just enjoy the rollercoaster that is life . PEACE

YIN-YANG

yin and yang , lit “dark-bright”, “negative-positive”) describes how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. Many tangible dualities (such as light & dark, fire and water, expanding and contracting) are thought of as physical manifestations of the duality symbolized by yin and yang

Anyone who knows me well knows i am a big thinker, one thing i truly believe in is that the world revolves around a yin yang type reality, one will always compliment the other in the most necessary way on every level & format, the good can only be achieved through the bad and vice versa. Stepping back and appreciating this relationship is stepping back and facing the reality of our own existence in this world, it can serve to be a guide in writing the chapters in the book that is our life.
